EDINA, Mo. — George A. Alber, 72, who farmed most of his life, died at 9:20 a.m. Monday (June 12, 1989) in his home 3 1/2 miles southeast of Edina.
Mr. Alber was born Dec. 17, 1916, near Edina, a son of Otto A. and Mary Gertrude Costello Alber. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, Louis A. of Edina, two sisters, Mrs. Regina Swann of Edina and Mrs. Lloyd (Ellen) Baker of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Otto and John and one in infancy.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic church of Edina by the Rev. Tom Alber. Burial will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina after 2 p.m. today, with a rosary service at 7, and Wednesday until the service.
