Obituary: Marvin L. Allred, Sr.

Marvin Laddie Allred, Sr., age 84, passed away at his home in Rocky Ridge, Juab Co., Utah January 9, 2003.

He was born October 19, 1918 in Boise, Idaho to Byron Harvey Allred, Jr. and Mary Evelyn Clark. He married Kathryn Jessop May 24, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She preceded him in death.

He was employed by Otto Buehner & Co. of Salt Lake City for many years. Marvin served with the Counter-Intelligence Corps of the US Army in the Philippines and Japan during World War II.

He is survived by his brothers, Owen A. Allred of Bluffdale, UT and Clarence E. Allred of Salt Lake City, UT; numerous sons, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was loved by many others, whom he considered family.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, January 13, 2002 in the Rocky Ridge Chapel. Friends may call at the Rocky Ridge Chapel Sunday Jan. 12th from 4 - 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9-11 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Rocky Ridge Cemetery.
