Sandy--Rhea Allred Kunz, 83, died November 5, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born June 14, 1906, Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico, daughter of Byron Harvey Allred, Jr., and Charlotte Susannah Pead Allred. Married Morris Q. Kunz, March 31, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Later divorced. Graduated from the University of Utah in 1950. Taught school in Weber, Washington, Duchesne, and Salt Lake counties and in Mexico. Poet, historian, author and publisher of several books. Survived by eight children, Arlene Zenz, Sparks, Nevada; Donna Mackert, Salt Lake City; Myra Tolman, Sandy; Charlotte LeBaron, Mexico; M. David Kunz, Lehi; John T. Kunz, Mt. Pleasant; L. Samuel Kunz, Las Cruces, New Mexico; Karen McBride, Murray; 79 grandchildren, 121 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and exteded famioy; brothers and sister, Otho H. Allred, Long Beach, California; Owen H. Allred, Long Beach, California; Owen A. Long Beach, California; Owen A. and Clarence E. Allred, Salt Lake City; Marvin L. Allred, Mona; Modine Clark, Blackfoot idaho. Funeral services Saturday, Nov. 11, 2 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So.
