Lillian Irene Adams was born to Edward Everett and Adeline Maria (Perry) Adams on November 29 1899 in Park Center community. She grew to womanhood in Park Center 10 miles west of Elgin. She received her formal education in the Park School. She made her home with her brother Lewis Adams on farms in the Park community for a number of years. She kept house, had a huge garden, raising lots of strawberries. She always served strawberries,shortcake with either ice cream or whipped cream, when we visited with her on Sunday afternoon. They moved to Elgin in 1960 until her death. She was a member of Park Congregational Church for many years and in 1955 transferred her membership to Trinity Lutheran Church at Elgin.
She died at her home in Elgin.
