OBIT-Erma E Kitchen, age 78, of Wautoma, passed away Wed morning, May 19, 1999 at her home. She was born March 7, 1921 at Hancock, the daughter of Steven R and Edna Johannes Bray. She married Ray Kitchen and he preceded her in death on Aug 16, 1964. Mrs Kitchen was employed by Speed Queen Corp in Wautoma for a number of years and later at Sand Knit in Berlin. She was a member of West Holden Lutheran Church and the Ladies Circle Ladies Group. Erma especially enjoyed making quilts. She is survived by 2 daughters, Shirley Brownlow, Wautoma, Pat (Wayne) Nigbor, Berlin; a daughter-in-law, June Kitchen, Neshkoro; 11 grandchildren, Keith (Michelle) Brownlow, Charles Brownlow, Sheri Howell, Carl (Amy) Brownlow, Dale (fiance, Peggy) Brownlow, Peter (Robin) Thoma, Kim Thoma, Frank Nigbor, Sirena Nigbor, Linda (Alan) Dredske, Lynetta (John) Chmiel; 21 great-grand- children; 2 brothers, Dever (Margaret) Bray, Wautoma; Donald Bray, Wautoma, 4 sisters Dorothy Bliske, Omro, Marian (William) Gomoll, Wautoma, Alice (Wilbur) Daye, Wautoma; Doris Klusmeyer, Wild Rose; brother-in-law Sylvester Johannes, Wautoma; sister-in-law, Louraine Bray, Wautoma; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dennis Kitchen; a grandson, Roger Brownlow; 2 sisters, Bernice Woyak and Evelyn Johannes; and a brother, Edwin Bray. Funeral services will be held on Fri, May 21, 1999 at 10:30 am in West Holden Lutheran Church, Wautoma. The Rev John Steinbrecher will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 pm Thurs at the Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma and from 9:30 am Fri until the time of services at the church.
