Donald R. Bray, age 83, of Redgranite, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home.

He was born January 12, 1928 in the Town of Deerfield, the son of Stephen and Edna (Johannes) Bray. He married the former Adeline Schubert on May 5, 1951. She preceded him in death on March 29, 1985.

Donald was a 1948 graduate of Wautoma High School. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. Donald had a variety of occupations. He drove taxi in Milwaukee, worked for an electric company placing power lines, worked for construction, sand, gravel and paving companies.

Donald was a hard worker and at age 82, still felt the need to climb that tree in order to cut down unwanted branches. He enjoyed working on the farm, gardening, and raising his special flowers. He will be fondly remembered as a jack-of-all-trades with an ability to repair anything.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara (William) Standke, Redgranite, Donna Meyer, Appleton; four grandchildren, Matthew (Sharon) Standke, Chandler, AZ., Ryan (Summer) Standke, Oshkosh, Sean Bray, Woodlake, Texas, Austin Meyer, Appleton; seven great grandchildren, Cambria, Willow, Katherine, Emmalynn, Allison, Victoria, and Tyler; two sisters, Marian Gomoll, Wautoma, Doris Klusmeyer, Wild Rose; one brother, Dever (Margaret) Bray, Wautoma. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Bray on August 21, 2008; his parents; one brother, Edwin Bray; five sisters, Dorothy Bliske, Erma Kitchen, Evelyn Johannes, Alice Daye, and Bernice Woyak.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. A veterans tribute will follow. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, April 9th. from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
