Pastor Gerald L. Shelton, 64, of Springville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2003.
He was born on February 4, 1939, in Greene County, Indiana, the son of Ray and Ola (Patton) Shelton.
He was Pastor and a member of the Bethel Lane Community Church. He especially loved his family, playing with his grandchildren, going to church, and reading his Bible. His church and its members were very precious to him.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Marie (Holmes) Shelton of Springville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and Mike Terry and Leann Patton, all of Springville; one son and daughter-in-law, Max and Sherri Shelton of Springville; five sisters, Faye Arthur of Indianapolis, Ann Wilson of Bloomington, Phyllis Tucker of Springville, Treva McGuire of Solsberry, Annetta Holmes of Bedford; four brothers, Hubert Shelton of Solsberry, Wayne Shelton of Bloomington, Dewey Shelton of Bloomington, George Shelton of Martinsville; six grandchildren, Chrystal Smith, Christina Shelton, Jeanna West, Jennifer Terry, Dominic Patton, Madeline Patton; two great-grandchildren, Levi West and Bailey West.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lloyd Shelton.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Day Funeral Home from 1 to 8 p.m. and from 12 noon until service time on Wednesday. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, with Brother Frank Gott officiating. Burial will follow at Lowder Cemetery.
