Born August 3, 1930 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of George Ray and Eliza Ola (Patton) Shelton.
Phyllis retired from Western Electric in Indianapolis and moved back to Hobbieville to take care of her parents until they passed away. She was a member of the Hobbieville Community Church and also attended the Sylvania Wesleyan Church for several years.
Surviving relatives include a sister, Treva McGuire of Solsberry, two brothers, Dewey Shelton of Bloomington, George Shelton of Martinsville and twenty nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by a son Mark Walter Tucker, Brothers, Hubert, Harold, Gerald and Lloyd Shelton, sisters, Faye Ola Arthur, Anna Marie Wilson, Anetta Louise Holmes and four nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Dave Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Carmichael Cemetery.
