Anna M. Wilson, 81, of Bedford and formerly of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, June 19, at Garden Villa Nursing Home in Bloomington. She was born on November 5, 1928, in Greene County. She was the daughter of Ray and Ola (Patton) Shelton and was the fourth of 11 children.

She retired from Sarkes Tarzian, Inc. in Bloomington and worked at the Dolan General Store in Dolan after that. She had attended Northside Wesleyan Church and Bethel Lane Community Church in Bloomington where she helped clean the church and taught Sunday School class before moving to Bedford. She was always ready to help out wherever and whenever needed.

She leaves behind her daughter Debra (David) Taylor of Bloomfield; four sisters, Faye Arthur of California, Phyllis Tucker of Springville, Treva (Dave) McGuire of Solsberry and Anetta Holmes of Bedford. She also leaves behind three brothers, Wayne (Maxine) Shelton and Dewey (Shirley) Shelton, both of Bloomington, and George (Nina) Shelton of Martinsville; two grandchildren, Jessica (Dusty) Delafield of Cincinnati and Scott (Brooke) Taylor of Spencer. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren, Savannah and Nick Taylor and Isaiah and Judah Delafield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Gerald and Hubert Shelton; a nephew Mark Tucker; and her husband Harry Wilson.

Friends may call at the Day Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home with Rev. Dusty Delafield and Rev. Dave Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at Carmichael Cemetery in Greene County.
