MRS. E. W. FOWLER
Mrs. Mattie Center Fowler, 79, died at her home, 704 N. Franklin Road, Sans Souci, late Saturday after six months of illness.
She had lived most of her life in Greenville and was a native of Greenville County. Her parents were the late Jack and Nancy Dobbins Center.
Mrs. Fowler was a member of First Assembly of God Church and the Ladies Class.
Her husband, Eager W. Fowler, died in 1924.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Z.W. Quinn (Zelma), Mrs. Paul Miller (Esther), Mrs. Calloway M. Miller (Lou Ellen) and Mrs. E.J. Knight (Agnes) of Greenville; 2 sons, Woodrow W. Fowler of Greenville and Rev. Jack C. Fowler of Mobile, Ala., 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Sans Souci by Rev. J. Edward Blount and Rev. Paul T. Brock. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Miller, 1029 E. Perry Road.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, where the body will remain until an hour before the service when it will be placed in the Church.
