The funeral of the late H. F. Leverenz will be held from the German Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock as announced yesterday. The remains will be removed from the home to the church at noon tomorrow and will lie in state in the church until 2 o'clock where they may be viewed for the last time by his many friends. As a fitting tribute to the man who gave the best years of his life to the Sheboygan public schools, the children of the Seventh and Eighth grades of the public schools and those of the high school will escort the remains from the house to the church.
The school children will meet with their teachers at the corner of North Eighth street and Bluff avenue, and will then form in line for the solemn march to the church where those who so desire may view the remains, and the scholars will then be dismissed for the day. The pall bearers will be principals from the public schools who served with and under Prof. Leverenz; Profs. F. W. Broer, H. E. Brasure, H. E. Sperling, O. H. Lowe, J. G. Walvoord and William Urban.
The funeral services at 2:30 at the church will be conducted by Rev. W. H. Wiese, after which the remains will be taken to the Wildwood cemetery where the Masons will conduct the beautiful burial service of the Masonic order. The pall bearers will be member of the Masonic lodge. At a special meeting of the Board of Education Tuesday evening called for the purpose of recording the sympathies of the Board on the death of Ex-city Superintendent of Schools, Henry F. Leverenz, the following resolutions were adopted:
• Whereas, Henry F. Leverenz has been called from within our midst by the Divine Power; and
• Whereas, Henry F. Leverenz spent twenty-six and one half years during the most vigorous period of his life teaching in the Public Schools of Sheboygan and directing the progress of the same; and,
• Whereas, his exemplary character, sincerity and earnestness of purpose, wisdom in directing the policies of the Public Schools of Sheboygan, devotion to duty, and loyalty to county, where all of the highest order,
• Therefore Be It Resolved that we, the Board of Education, at a special meeting held on October 30, 1917, sincerely regret the untimely death of Henry F. Leverenz, and that we extend our deepest sympathies to the members of his family; and,
• Be It Further Resolved that a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the records of the School Board Proceeding and that a copy of the same be sent to the family of the deceased.
