Funeral Services For New Holstein Man Held Today
New Holstein—funeral services for Charles Leverenz were held at 1:30 p.m. today, the Rev. Feldt officiating and interment was made in the cemetery at Meggers.
Charles Christian Leverenz was born at Charlestown, Sept, 27, 1864 and grew to young manhood in that vicinity. On November 8, 1888, he was untied in marriage with Miss Alma Reichert, who preceded him in death by fifteen years. Since the time of her death, Mr. Leverenz had made his home with a son, Orin, at Meggers and passed away there Friday morning after a brief illness.
He is survived by his son, Orin, two brothers, William of Waldo and George of New Holstein; three sisters, Mrs. Gust Weber of New Holstein, Mrs. Emma Reichert of Meggers and Miss Lizzie Leverenz of Kiel. Mr. Leverenz was affiliated with the Methodist church at Meggers for a number of years.
