Helen Mabel Armentrout, 88, of Harrisonburg, died Friday, September 1, 2000, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Armentrout was born March 5, 1912, in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Ida Flick Dean.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship United Methodist Church in the Melrose area. She had been a member of the Mountain Valley Senior Citizens for 15 years.
On January 4, 1928, she married Howard F. Armentrout, who died March 4, 1961.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris Clegg, Broadway, a sister, Irene Fulk, Harrisburg, Pa., two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Pastor Sandra Benton will conduct a memorial service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Fellowship United Methodist Church. Burial will be Woodbine Cemetery and will be private.
