Here is laid to sleep
A Man who was merry when mirth and jest went round.
Sad when sorrow oppressed his friends.
Brave when danger threatened his or his neighbor's home.
Soft hearted as a gentle woman
And to himself and his friends true
After life's fitful fever, He sleeps well.
