Betsey (Jackson) Hall, who was born in Tyringham, Berkshire county, Mass., in 1786, Betsey Jackson was a daughter of Giles Jackson, a revolutionary officer, who while a member of General Gates' staff, drew up the articles of capitulation of General Burgoyne to general Gates at the battle of Saratoga, October 6, 1777.
