Theta Mae Freese
Theta Mae Freese, 83, Springfield, passed away at 4:23 pm Monday, Oct 25, 1993, in Springfield Community Hospital. Theta was born April 30, 1910 to James Edward and Belle Baird Wallace in Houston, Mo. Mrs. Freese was married on June 26, 1929, to Artford Freese and to this union five children were born. She was a homemaker and member of Elwood Assembly of God. Mrs. Freese was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and a brother. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Artford Freese, of the home, a son, Artford Freese, Springfield, Va.; four daughters, Wilba Peterson, Westminister, Mass.; Bethany Myrick, Willard, Mary Lour Boyer and Judith David, both of Springfield; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 am Friday in Elwood Assembly of God with the Revs. James Griggs, David Coble and Ronald Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield National Cemetery.
