Archie Rodgers, 85, Ste. Marie, died Sunday, April 22, 1990 at 11:32 p.m. at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Arrangements are being handled by Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.

Services will be held Wednesday at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow in Bestow Cemetery in Geff. Visitation will be held at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mr. Rodgers was born in Iola on April 12, 1905, the son of Frank and Lilly (Murry) Rodgers. He married Bertha Balander in Ste. Marie on April 11, 1978, and she survives in Ste. Marie.

He was a retired farmer and oilfield worker. He was a member of Moose Lodge in Flora.

Surviving are his wife, Bertha Balander of Ste. Marie; six brothers, Robert, Russell, Roy, and Delbert, all of Cisne, Gene of Seymour, and Carroll of Effingham; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Mildred) Willison of Clay City, Mrs. Joe (Patsy )Mewes of West Salem; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Wessley (Caroline) Chamberlain of Herrick; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Wilson of Alton, Mrs. Floyd (Nora) Murphy of Fairfield, and Mrs. Sylvia Richards of Geff; 20 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one step-great-grandchild, two grandchildren, one sister, four brothers, and his parents.
