She was born November 14, 1912, in Iola, the daughter of Francis and Lillie Murray Rodgers. She married Thomas L. Richards on May 29, 1931 in Fairfield. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1982.
She was a retired cook and custodian at Geff Grade School for 25 years and a member of Geff Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Gregory; two sisters, Hazel Weinman and Nora Murphy; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, eight brothers, one sister, one daughter and one son.
Funeral services were held at Geff Christian Church with burial in Bestow Cemetery in Geff.
