Nora was born June 12, 1915 at Iola, IL to Segil Francis (Frank) and Lilly Ellen (Murry) Rodgers. She first married Walter VanFleet in 1930. She later married George Kirkpatrick in 1937 and Floyd Murphy in 1983. They all preceded her in death.
Nora was a homemaker and retired as cook at Geff Grade School in 1983. She was a member of Geff Christian Church.
Nora is survived by a daughter Mary Lou Case and a son Marion F. (Faye) Kirkpatrick. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren: Darel Willison; Mary Dauthit, Terry Atwood, Teresa Walker, Doug Kirkpatrick, Troy Kirkpatrick, Ron Kirkpatrick, Tonya Durbin, Shelia Springmeyer, Kara Dorsey and Kevin Kirkpatrick; 37 great grandchildren and 37 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her three husbands, one daughter Margaret Willison, eight brothers: John, Clyde, Vernie, Cecil, Clarence, Adron, Archie, and Farrell Rodgers, three sisters Evelyn Denton, Hazel Weiman and Sylvia Richards, one granddaughter Dayna Case, two grandsons Brad Kirkpatrick and Gary Willison, one great grandson Joshua Willison, triplet great grandchildren Caleb, Shyann and Madison Dauthit, one great-great granddaughter Zoe Southwell, two sons-in-law, Robert Case and Wayne Willison and her parents.
Funeral services for Nora Murphy will be 11:00AM Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at Hosselton Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Bestow Cemetery at Geff.
Memorials may be given to Geff Christian Church.
