Elizabeth Frank was the second of thirteen known children of Johann Wilhelm Frank (went by WIlliam) (1731-1804) and Barbara Walk (1735-1815), who married c1751 in either Virginia or Rowan (now Davidson) County, North Carolina.

Elizabeth was born in the part of North Carolina that was Rowan County, but became Davidson County in 1818. Elizabeth married Melchior Darr Jr. (b. 1752 in PA; d. 30 Dec 1833 at Davidson County, North Carolina. It is not known if Melchior is buried at Becks also. Elizabeth and Merchior were the parents of five known children, three girls and two boys, namely:

1. Barbara Darr Hedrick (1777-1848)
2. Christina Darr Grimes (1782-1844)
3. George Henry Darr (c1784-1854)
4. Melchior Darr III (1790-1862)
5. William Darr (???-???)
