Sarah Catherine Frank was the youngest of thirteen known children of Wilhelm (went by William) Franck/Frank (1731-1804) and Barbara Walk (1735-1815), who married married c1751 at Rowan (in part that became Davidson) County, North Carolina.

Sarah died after 1850 in Pike County, Illinois (though some records show Fairfield County, Iowa). The will of Sarah's father, JohannWilliam Frank, mentions Sarah as Sarah Walise. Is this a corruption of Walk, or did Sarah remarry after the death of Jonathan? Perhaps it is Sarah Wallace or Wallice?

Sarah married her Half-Uncle, Jonathan Walk (1769-1835) on 28 Nov 1795 at Rowan County, North Carolina. Sarah and Jonathan were the parents of eleven known children, namely:

1. Barbara Walk McGill Kepley (c1796-1876)
2. David Walk (c1798-???)
3. Teter Kingsberry Walk (c1801-c1839)
4. Elizabeth Walk Williams (1803-1858)
5. Samuel Walk (1805-???)
6. Wiley W. Walk (1807-???)
7. Mahala Walk (1809-1882)
8.Naragelina "Angelina" Walk Dillon (1811-1887)
9. Sarah Catherine Walk Foster (c1812-???)
10. Isabella Walk (1816-1861)
11. John F. Walk (1818-1904)

In 1850 the widow Sarah was living at Pike County, Illinois with her unmarried(?) children Mahala and Isabella, Jasper Walk (age 10, born in Illinois, son of Mahala), and Burril and David Walks, sons of Teter K. Walk. Jonathan and his family arrived in Pike County, Illinois from North Carolina in about 1834. His daughter Elizabeth Walk Williams and her husband, were the first of the family to settle in Pike County. The sons Wiley and John moved to El Dorado County, California in about 1852 during the California gold rush.
