     NAMPA - Services for Percy A. Coates, 62, of Nampa, who died Sunday at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa, by the Rev. James B. Stewart, Bethel Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
     He was born Nov. 19, 1915, at Carey, son of Justin and Annie Coates. He was educated in Richfield and Nampa, where he completed his education. He married Norma Andrews Nov. 24, 1939, at Murphy. They lived in Nampa. He served in the Army during World War II, and after his discharge in July 1946 he returned to Nampa. He had worked at the Union Pacific Ice Plant and the Pacific Fruit Express for 35 years, retiring in 1976.
     He was a member of Nampa Lodge No. 1389, BPOE, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Car Men of America No. 1147, and was vice president of the Friday Night Bowling League.
     Surviving are his wife, three sons, Tom, John and Mike, and a daughter, Mrs. Pat Wolfe, all of Nampa; three brothers, Bill and Earl, both of Nampa, and Frank of Benton City, Wash.; a sister, Lizzie Coates of Boise; 10 grandchildren and numerices nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
