Charles L. MURPHY, 53, Warsaw, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in the Murphy Medical Center at Warsaw. Born Aug. 14, 1921, in Kokomo, he was the son of John and Catherine HERLOCK MURPHY. His marriage was March 10, 1942, in Akron to Maxine WIDMEYER, who survives. Mr. Murphy had been a resident of the Prairie View nursing home three years, moving from the Wabash and Akron communities. He was a former employee of the Hoosier Home Improvement company at Elwood. He was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God. Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy MURPHY, Wabash; one son, Charles Aden [MURPHY], North Manchester; two grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. C. C. (Alice) TULLIS, Akron; Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) SOPHER, Leesburg; Mrs. Grover (Mildred) BROWN, Rapids City, S.D. Mrs. Chester (Vondeline) TRAVER, Underwood, Ind.; Mrs. Milton (Ethel) BARNETT, Constantine, Mich.; Mrs. Bernard (Mary) PENN, North Webster; Mrs. Marvin (Deloris) LAWSON, Wabash; five brothers, William MURPHY, Clinton; James and Lee MURPHY, both of Akron; Lawrence MURPHY, Mentone; John MURPHY, North Webster, and nieces and nephews. Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Silver Creek Church of God. The Rev. George CONSTANCE will officiate. Burial will be in the Silver Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home after 7 p.m. today and at the church one hour prior to services.
