Lee A. Murphy, Aug. 29, 1927 - July 18, 1992, Lee Arnold MURPHY, 64, of Rt. 1, Box 56, Akron, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at his home of an apparent coronary obstruction. He was born in Wabash to John Benjamin and Catherine HURLOCK MURPHY. He lived most of his life in the Akron community. On Feb. 24, 1950 in Akron he married Florence Mae SMITH, who died June 13, 1983. He was a retired farmer and attended the Silver Creek Church of God, near Akron. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Steven (Catherine) HELLER, Akron, and Mrs. Stephen (Patricia) MYERS, Syracuse; three sons, Terry L. [MURPHY], Indianapolis; Michael L. [MURPHY], Pierceton, and Stephen L. [MURPHY], Evansville; ten grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. C.C. (Alice) TULLIS, Akron; Mrs. Chester (Bondeline) TRAVER, Akron; Mrs. Grover (Mildred) BROWN, La.; Mary PENN, North Webster, Ethe BISHOP, Warsaw, and Mrs. Marvin (Delores) LAWSON, Wabash, and two brothers, John and James MURPHY, both of Akron. Preceding in death were a sister and three brothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Akron, with pastor Roy WOLFE officiating. Burial will be in the Nichols Cemetery, north of Akron. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
