Nelson E. Forry
HALLAM – Nelson E. Forry, 85, of Hallam, died at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, York. He was the husband of Idella I. (Smeltzer) Forry.
The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lower Windsor Township. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Forry was born in Hallam. He was the son of the late John and Mamie (Mundis) Forry.
He had retired in 1971 from the American Chain and Cable Co. in York as a storekeeper after 30 years of service. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the Friendship Fire Company.
Mr. Forry also is survived by a son, Glenn E. Forry of Hallam; a daughter, Pauline M. Wagner of York; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, and two sisters, Pauline Smith of York, and Ethel Dise of Dallastown.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. John L. Kurtz.
