Glenn Earle Forry, 79, died on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Memorial Hospital.

Glenn was born in the Hallam borough on December 23, 1936, and was a son of the late Nelson E. and Idella I. (Smeltzer) Forry.

He graduated from Kreutz Creek High School, Class of 1955. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Technical Sergeant in the field of communications for 20 years. During this time, he was stationed in Alaska, Greenland, Germany, England, and the Continental U.S. After retiring from the Air Force, Glenn worked as an upholsterer at Sloat's Upholstery in Hallam. He was an avid hockey fan, particularly for the Hershey Bears, for whom he had season tickets for many years.

Glenn is survived by his sister, Pauline M. Wagner and her husband, Robert L.; his nephew, Robert Wagner and his wife, Ann; his niece, Claudia D. Shanaman and her husband, R. Victor; his grand-niece, Stephanie V. Reid and her husband, Timothy; his great-grand-niece and nephew, Genevieve and Grant; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald N. Forry.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Faith United Methodist Church, 126 E. Market St., Hallam, with Rev. Jason Guillaume officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 126 E. Market Street, Hallam, PA 17406.
