Mrs. G. Hollister Boardman, 58, died at 8 this morning in her home in- Coe Township after an extended illness. The funeral has been tentatively set for 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fairfield Methodist Church, the Rev. W. W. Marzahn officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Cemetery. The former Anna Bryson Feaster was born Oct. 2, 1894, daughter of William Feaster and Mrs. Jennie Wreath Feaster, in Canoe Creek Township. She was graduated from the Port Byron High School and attended the State Teachers College at DeKalb. She taught in the Grade Schools at Coal Valley and Port Byron. On Oct. 11, 1916, she was married to Mr. Boardman, and they began farming on the Charles Pearsall farm, now owned by Frank Weeks In 1921 they moved to the Schafer farm in Lynn Grove Community where they lived until 1946, when they moved to their present home. She was a member of the Fairfield Methodist Church since 1916, and the WSCS and the Good Cheer Circle of the church. She had been a teacher in the Sunday school for 25 years, and served for four years on the Galesburg district board of the WSCS. She was a member of the Cordova Home Bureau, and was a member of the past presidents organization of the Rock Island County Home Bureau. She was a leader of the Cordova Climbers 4-H Club for 18 years. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary and the League of Women Voters. Survivors include the widower; her mother, Mrs. Jennie Feaster of Geneseo; four children, Mrs. Janice Wainwright of Port Byron, Mrs. Marian Hamilton of Honduras, Central America, William R. Boardman of Chowchilla, Calif., and Miss Eunice Boardman of Grinnell, la.; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Miss Zella Feaster of Chicago, Bernice Feaster of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Madge Schall of Pacific Palisade, Calif., Mrs. Ruth Wisman, of Ashton, Mrs. Mary Ropp of Hillsdale, four brothers, Howard Feaster, Wayne Feaster and Kenneth Feaster, all of Hillsdale, and Paul Feaster of Coal Valley.
