Howard "Pat" Feaster, 83, retired long-time Hillsdale postmaster, died Monday at his home. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hillsdale United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery, Hillsdale. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dailey-Gibson Funeral Home, Port Byron. Memorials may be made to Hillsdale United Methodist Church. Mr. Feaster served as Hillsdale postmaster for 34 years, retiring in 1965. He also served as Canoe Creek Township clerk for several years. He was born in Hillsdale, where he married Josephine Ropp in 1931. Mr. Feaster was a member of the Rock Island Democratic Central Committee and a former trustee of Hillsdale United Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow; a son, Lantz, Hillsdale; two grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Bernice Beck, of Arizona, Mrs. Madge Scholl, of California, Mrs. Ruth Wisdom, of Ashton, and Mrs. Mary Ropp, Hillsdale, and brothers, Kenneth, Cordova, and Wayne, Hillsdale.
