G. Hollister Boardman, 94, Port Byron, died Tuesday at Illini Hospital. Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Gibson Funeral Home, Port Byron. Burial is in Fairfield Cemetery, Coe Township. Vistation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to Cancer Society, the Hollis and Anna Boardman Scholarship Fund at Riverdale schools, or his church, Fairfield Methodist. : He was born Jan. 18, 1893, in Albion, Neb. He married Ann Feaster Oct. 2, 1916, in Hillsdale. She died in 1953. He married Zella Feaster in 1954 in Chicago. She died in 1979. He was a retired farmer. He was a former director of the Farm Bureau; former director of Quality Milk Association; and a former member of the Rock Island County Board of Supervisors, and the Cordova High School board. Survivors include a son, William, Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Janice Wainwright, Port Byron, and Eunice Meske, Lake Mills, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
