25 years ago today, I got the call that my Granny was gone. I was heartbroken, she was my world. I was the first grandchild and my Daddy asked her what she wanted the baby to call her and she said "I don't care what it calls me as long as it's not Granny". Lol She was my best friend from the start. She always called me her shadow because I followed her around everywhere and when she stopped I would literally run right into her. She had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room. She was loved by so many. She loved God and her family and would help anybody in need if she could. I still love and miss her so much and would love to have just one more moment with her.

*Johnnita Harkrider Bruner I see John David!

2020 TRIBUTES

Steph Harkrider

Today my Granny is celebrating another birthday in Heaven. There are not enough words to explain how much she meant to me. She was my very first best friend and she loved me unconditionally. I was her shadow everywhere that she went and several times when she stopped, I would run right into her. She tried to teach me to cook several times and it always ended in a disaster. I either made a huge mess or got hurt. I got my hair caught in the mixer and it took her forever to get me free because she was laughing so hard. She had the patience of a Saint and a heart full of love. She loved Jesus and her family and never met a stranger. One time when I was little bitty, I kissed the rear view mirror in her car. She left it there to remind her. My heart still hurts from losing her and I would love to have just one more moment with her. I will forever keep her memory tucked deep inside of my heart. Happy birthday Granny. I love and miss you so much.
