BAXTER –Funeral services for Vera Cooper, 89, of Baxter will be held tomorrow January 9 at 11:00 from the Chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Smellage Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper died Sunday, January 6, 1991 at her home in Baxter.
She was born March 12, 1901 in Putnam Co. to the late Joel & Ellen Newman Leftwich.
Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a member of New Home Baptist Church.
Her family includes 3 daughter's: Hilda Anderson of Baxter; Glenna Brown of Tullahoma, and Faye Anderson of Columbia, SC; one son, Kenton Cooper of Cookeville; a close friend and companion, Beulah Julian; 16 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smith Cooper.
