Funeral services for Martin Alexander Leftwich, 69, who died Saturday at his home on Baxter, Rt. 1, were
conducted Monday at 2:00 at his home with Rev. Benton Harness officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery. Whitson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Leftwich was a retired farmer and a son of the late Ella Newman and Joe Leftwich.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Anderson Leftwich; 2 daughters, Mrs. Boda Waller, Silver Point, Rt. 1, Mrs. Berdenaline Alcorn, Old Hickory; 2 sons, Joe Lewis Leftwich, and Paul Leftwich, Baxter, Rt. 1; 2 brothers, John Oliver Leftwich, Cookeville, Riley Leftwich, Silver Point, Rt.1; 4 sisters, Mrs. Virginia Carr, and Mrs. Bertha Whitehead, Baxter, Rt. 1, Mrs. Rhoda Moss, Cookeville, Mrs. Vera Cooper, Boma; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
