Funeral services were at 1pm Sunday at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, with the Rev. Hugh Smith officiating. Burial was in Slusser Cemetery.
He was born May 9, 1906 in Clark County IL to Harlen and Laura E. Higgins Slusser. He was married Oct. 26, 1935 to Mildred Neimeyer.
He was a retired farmer and former owner of Slusser Standard Station in Casey.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred; son, John P. Slusser of Tucson AZ; sister, Mary Orr of Casey; grandson, John P. Slusser, Jr. of Tucson AZ; granddaughter, Susan M. Slusser of Tucson AZ; and five great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by an infant son, James; one grandson, Andy; two brothers, John and Charles; and two sisters, Sue and Merle.
