Mary Ann Orr, 87, of Casey, died at 2:52 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 1998 at Birchwood Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31 at Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, with Rev. Mark Kaley officiating. Burial is in the Washington Street Cemetery in Casey. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m on Friday at the funeral home.

She was born May 2, 1910 in Clark County, the daughter of Harlan O. and Laura Elizabeth (Higgens) Slusser. She married Ralph D. Orr on June 25, 1953 and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1964.

Survivors include one step-son, Richard D. Orr and his wife Jenny of Appleton, Wis.; one step-grandson, Robert Orr of Appleton, Wis.; two step-granddaughters, Margo Orr and Charlotte Orr of Appleton, Wis; one sister-in-law, Mildred Slusser of Casey; two nieces, Jane Ahrens and Bonnie Friederich and one nephew, John Slusser.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, John, James, and Charles Slusser and two sisters, Sue Thompson and Merle Williams.

Mrs. Orr was a volunteer helper at the "Casey Nursing HOme." She was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Casey Nursing Home Service League and Kline Memorial Library Board in Casey.
