David L. Coates, 61, of Brigham City was reunited with his beloved wife on October 1, 2007 in the Kingdom of Heaven. His life's journey concluded at the McKay Dee Hospital after 2 years of battling prostate cancer that had metastasized to the bone.
David was born April 21, 1946 to Lee Z. and Anita Harvey Coates in American Fork, UT. He was the youngest of 7 children.
He married Edna Thompson February 5, 1965 together they had two daughters. They were later divorced.
He married Katherine Parker June 5, 1993 together they had beloved "critters".
He served in the National Guard from 1963 to 1969.
He retired from Brigham City Corp. as Superintendent of the Waste Water Treatment Department April 2006.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Walker, West Valley and Denise (Bryon) Clegg, American Fork; five grandchildren: Brittany Davis, Valary and Skyler Walker, Kelsey and Denyon Clegg. Siblings Carol (Tobe) Rasmussen, Jerry (Janice) Coates, Ruth (Bill) Roggman and Linda (Orvil) McKenzie. Best friend Jon (Karen) Adams.
His wife, Katherine, preceded him in death June 2005 as well as his parents, brother and sister.
