Martha (Bramblett) Adams was born in Prairieton Township just west of Moweaqua, Illinois. She was the second daughter of Ellington and Elizabeth Adams. She was a sister to Isom, Joseph R., Randall R., George William, Robert James, Martin V. and John C. Adams as well as Rachael (Rice) and Lucy Adams. She married Benjamin H. Bramblett. They had several children including; Emma (Boyd), Donna Beulah (Tolson), Gertrude (Rose), Joseph, Henry (who died in infancy), Thomas (who died in childhood), Jesse Clinton, Benjamin Frank, Eugene and William. After a divorce, she married James M. Greening.
