Lenus Louis Wieberg, 62, of St. Anthony, died Wednesday, November 7, 1979 at University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia. He was born at Koeltztown on Dec. 7, 1916, son of Herman and Cathrine Boeckman Wieberg. He was married on Oct. 25, 1949 to Rosemary Bock. She survives at the home.
Mr. Wieberg owned and operated Wieberg Body Shop at Meta since 1969. He was a World War II veteran and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include: Six sons, Stanley Wieberg, Walter Wieberg and Larry Wieberg, all of St. Anthony, and John Wieberg, Leroy Wieberg and Daniel Wieberg, all of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Leona Young, Pilot Grove, Miss Patricia Wieberg, Jefferson City, and Janice Wieberg, of the home. Five brothers: Leo Wieberg, Meta, Hugo Wieberg, Columbia, Jerry Wieberg, Westphalia, Arthur Wieberg, Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Andrew Wieberg, Duncombe, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Christine Hoeller and Mrs. Aharda Libbert, both of Meta and six grandchildren.
The Rosary was said at 7:30 Friday at St. Anthony Parish Hall. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Arnold officiating. Burial was in the St. Anthony Cemetery. Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
