Martin H. Wieberg, 60, of St. Elizabeth, died Wednesday morning at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia. Mr. Wieberg was born April 29, 1909, near Freeburg, the son of Herman and Katherine Boeckmann Wieberg. He married Miss Josephine Mary Holtmeyer on Sept. 24, 1929. She survives.
He spent most of his life as a farmer in the St. Elizabeth-St. Anthony area. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Other survivors include: Four sons, Henry, Martin, Anthony and Norbert Wieberg, all of St. Elizabeth; four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Otto, Mrs. Christine Otto, and Mrs. Cecelia Kempker, all of St. Elizabeth, and Mrs. Josephine Herx, Iberia.
Seven brothers, Leo and William Wieberg of Meta, Hugo Wieberg of Columbia, Arthur and Andrew Wieberg both of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Linus Wieberg of Iberia, and Jerome Wieberg, Westphalia; four sisters, Mrs. Sabina Schroeder, Westphalia, Miss Agatha Wieberg, Jefferson City, Mrs. Christine Hoeller and Mrs. Arharda Luebbert, both of Meta; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church near Iberia with the Rev. John Walsh officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 8:30 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Parish Hall.
