Norma Lucille Duncan Taylor was born June 12, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Gifford and Leona (Lindell) Duncan.
She was raised in Cannon Falls and graduated Cannon Falls High School in 1946. Norma married Robert W. Taylor, March 13, 1948 at her parents home in Cannon Falls. After marriage they made their home in Cannon Falls and then on a farm at Dennison.
In 1952, they moved to a farm near Randolph and Norma worked for Kid Duds and Princess Toys in Cannon Falls. In 1965, they moved to Stanton and in 1976, to Northfield. Norma worked as a custodian at Carleton College for several years. After retirement, Norma and Robert remained in Northfield until moving to Cannon Falls in 2009.
Norma was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph and always participated at the church craft sale. She enjoyed crocheting, camping with their camping club and traveling with Robert. Together they visited all of the continental United States. Norma was a woman of strong Christian faith and loved to read her Bible. Her family was the center of her life and she always believed Strong Faith – Strong Family.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Peter) Lundell, Richard (Karen), Sue, Roger (Connie); 7 grandchildren, Todd Lundell, Kelly (Cyd) Malecha, Eric Lundell, Rebecca (Jim) Howe, Carrie (Jason) Bayless, Keely Taylor, William Taylor; 8 great-grandchildren, Zach, Jordan, Charlie, Emily, Ethan, Noah, Zoey, Gavin; 3 great-great-grandsons, Zaiden, Cypress, Helix; her sister, Lois (Tim) Stenerson; her brother, Claire Duncan; her brother-in-law, Joe Jacobson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Marcelyn Jacobson, and her brothers Archie and Harlan Duncan.
Services at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph.
