R. L. Doughty, 65, Buried at Pine Grove, November 6
Funeral services were held for Mr. Robert Lee Doughty, 65 years old, at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon, Nov. 6, 1944, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Lee Brooks, Rev. Morlan Doughty, Rev. I. M. Campbell, and Rev. Thompson Doughty, officiating. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Doughty died at his home in Blade, La., at 8 o'clock, Nov. 5. Death was caused by pneumonia. The deceased was a lifetime resident of Blade and was a member of the Baptist Church there.
Survivors are his wife, parents, Mrs. And Mrs. Jace Doughty, both 92 years old; seven sons, Loyce, Shreveport; Howard, U. S. Army, North Africa; Enos, Rhinehart; Frank, Baton Rouge; Robert, U. S. Army, overseas; Donald, of the U. S. Marines, overseas; and Felton, Blade, La.; two daughters, Sallie Jernigan, Jackson, Miss.; Nell Allbritton, Jena; two brothers, Jim Doughty, Ferriday, and Billie Doughty, Yantes, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Walter Haynes, Blade; Mrs. Lon Arthurs, Fowels, La.; Mrs. Mary Spinks, Wallace Ridge; Mrs. John Wilson, and Mrs. Jim Smith, both of Jena. Kinner & Stevens Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
