Eleanor Wood was born June 3, 1889, at Norwood. She spent her childhhood at Nucla and Naturita, attending Naturita schools.
On April 22, 1920, she married Gordon W. (Bab) Spradlin at Delta. Mr Spradlin died in 1957.
Mrs. Spradlin lived in Montrose for a number of years. She enjoyed working with cattle on the ranch and helping people.
Survivors: Daughters, Mrs. Edna (Marion) Cox of Montrose and Mrs. Molly Scott of Farmington, New Mexico; twin sister, Mrs. Nell Saunders of Los Angeles, California; a sister, Mrs. Noma Bennett of Nucla; 10 grandchildren and 105 great-grandchildren.
Services for Eleanor Spradlin were held at the Congregational Church of Nucla. Wed., April 5 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Young officiating, with interment at Nucla Cemetery. Arrangements by the Sumner's Valley Funeral Home.
