A native of Slade, KY, she was proceeded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Profitt of Winchester; sister Mila Adams of Alexandria; brother Charles (Flossie) Profitt of Irvine. She was the widow of George W. Whisman.
She is survived by a son Gay Whisman of Carencro, LA and a daughter Sue Lovell of Lexington; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Eulis Profitt, Lawrence (Virginia) Profitt, all of Winchester; Willie Eugene Profitt of Clay City; sisters Polly Lojinger, Cincinnati, Irene Hatton, Winchester and Shirley Young, Lexington; brother-in-law Elmer (Bonnie) Whisman, Stanton and sister-in-law Jewell Carroll, Winchester. Aunt Illa is survived by her beloved nieces, nephews and their extended families.
Scobee Funeral Home, Winchester, KY, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation Wednesday 5-8. Funeral service Thursday 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Paul Hollingsworth. Burial will in the Winchester Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Elizabeth Franklin, Gene Layne and Rev. Anthony Molihan.
