Margaret Irene Hatton
December 13, 1934 - June 9, 2022

Margaret Irene Hatton, 87, widow of Nathan Friedman Hatton, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at her home. She was a native of Clark Co. born on December 13, 1934, in Slade, KY. to the late William and Elizabeth Brewer Profitt.

Irene was the library secretary of George Rogers Clark High School for several years. She was a faithful member of the First Church of God where she served as a Sunday school teacher and served on the Board of CE for several years. She loved the Lord and would be waiting at the door to be picked up to go to church every Sunday. She loved to go fishing, she was an avid reader, loved to watch Jeopardy. She loved music, especially the church hymns and loved going to a baseball game to watch as many games her grandchildren were in.

Survivors include three children, Dean Alan Hatton, Kimberly Lane Bradshaw (Mike) and David Gregory Hatton (Connie), six grandchildren Holly Shearer (Chris), Cate Hatton, Clifton Hatton (Liz), Cory Hatton (Emily), Bryan Bradshaw (Jessica) and Kayla Ballard (Marty).

She has six great grandchildren, Felicity and Henry Hatton; Emma and Sawyer Bradshaw, Caroline and Carter Ballard; Olivia and Lucy Shearer. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.

She is survived by one sister, Shirley Profitt Young of Lexington, KY.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Charles Profitt, Lawrence Profitt, Willie Eugene Profitt, Eulis Profitt; her sisters Mila Adams, Illa Whisman, and Pauline Loginger.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the First Church of God located at 2500 Colby Rd., Winchester, KY.

Services will be Monday, June 13, 2022, at 11AM with Pastor Allan Hutchinson officiating at the First Church of God located at 2500 Colby Rd., Winchester, KY.

Burial will be at the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dean Hatton, Greg Hatton, Clifton Hatton, Cory Hatton, Bryan Bradshaw, William Stoneking and Dave Shelton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Brooks Place and Carolyn Fugate, Connie Cobb, Margie Palmer, Sonya Dieter and members of the First Church of God.
