Eulis Harding Profitt
December 20, 1922 - January 14, 2018 Eulis Harding Profitt, 95, of Winchester, passed away at 2:30AM, Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY. A native of Powell County, he was the son of the late William Morgan Profitt and Elizabeth Brewer Profitt. He was a farmer and retired from Rockwell International. He was a member of the First Church of God, Colby Rd. His greatest joy in life was dancing and clogging at Hoedown Island, Natural Bridge State Park with his beloved wife, Olive.

His parents and his wife of 60 years, Olive Morrison Profitt, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by several siblings: Lorena Profitt, Mila Adams, Illa Whisman, Charles Profitt, and Willie Eugene Profitt. He is survived by his children, Dr. Karen Profitt Newman (Bill Johnstone) of Louisville; one son and daughter-in-law, Terrance Wayne Profitt and Pamela Profitt of Evergreen, Colorado; four grandchildren, Morgan and Jason Armstrong, of Louisville, Conrad Harding Newman also of Louisville, Ashley Michelle Profitt of Golden, Colorado, Benjamin David and Michelle Profitt of Denver, Colorado; four, great-granddaughters, Sara Jo Armstrong, Aubrey Kathryn Armstrong, Lily May Profitt, and Olive Sue Profitt. Additional survivors include three sisters, Pauline Lojinger, Irene Hatton & Shirley Profitt Young, and one brother, Lawrence Profitt and his wife Virginia; also surviving in-laws include Rev. William Carpenter and wife Omalene, and Odell Morrison. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 10:00AM at Scobee Funeral Home, Winchester. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Profitt, Conrad Newman, Jason Armstrong, Dean Allen Hatton and Jason Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Carpenter, Lawrence Profitt, William Johnstone, Leo Vanoy, Elmer Ray Whisman and Rick Newman.
