Thelma Deshotel Andrepont
Iota - Funeral services for Thelma Deshotel Andrepont , 82, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota with Fr. David Broussard officiating.
Burial was held in St. Joseph Catholic Church Mausoleum under the direction of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Iota.
Visitation was held from 8 a.m. Thursday until time of services in the church. A Rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Andrepont died at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
Survivors include one son & daughter-in-law, Dennis and Judy Andrepont of Jennings; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Barbara and Mayo Landry of Jennings and Gloria & David Sonnier, Paulette Coleman and Melinda and David LeJeune all of Iota; two brothers, Hugh Deshotel and D.A. Deshotel both of Jennings; five sisters, Elverda Doga of Jennings, Effie Chaisson of Welsh, Gertis Kufel of Gray, Anna Mae LeBlanc of Hathaway and Audrey Poussin of Iota; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Melvin Doucet, Jr.; one sister, Louella Andrepont; one great-grandson, Kaleb Myers; one daughter, Nancy Gail Andrepont and her husband, Paul Andrepont.
