A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Audrey Deshotel Pousson, 91 who died Friday, July 8, 2016 at her home in Iota surrounded by her loving family.
Fr. Jude Thierry, will be officiate for the services. The family request that visitation be observed Sunday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 P.M. and Monday from 8:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Mausoleum following the Funeral Mass.
Mrs. Pousson is survived by her four daughters, Cheryl Hillman and her husband Mike of Gonzales TX., Darlene Myers and her husband Mike of Eudora AR, Joy Lacombe and her husband Harlan of Iota, and Rosie Thevis and her husband Wayne of Iota; three sons, Carlos Pousson and his wife Pam of Lucedale MS., Marcus Pousson and his wife Barb of Papillion, NE, and Rigney Pousson Jr. and his wife Paula of Iota; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gurtis Kufel and Anna Mae LeBlanc; and one brother Druce Deshotel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rigney Pousson, Sr.; one daughter, Pamela Pousson, one great-granddaughter Vivian Lamm; her parents, Melvin and Annie Ortego Deshotel, Sr. three brothers, John Deshotel, Hugh Deshotel, and Melvin Deshotel; and four sisters, Thelma Andrepont, Luella Andrepont, Elverda Doga, and Effie Chiasson.
Pallbearers will be Eric Myers, Steven Myers, Jacob Pousson, Ben Thevis, Garrett Lacomb, Seth Lacomb, and Adam Pousson. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Pousson and Darren Pousson.
