Rites Thursday Morning for Guy W. Coats
Former chief custodian of San Jacinto High School, Guy William Coats, 74, died Tuesday at his home, 25320 Terry Lane, Hemet. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hartford Funeral Home in Hemet, with the Reverends Edward Rodda and Edward Steel officiating. Burial will be in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Coats, who was born January 12, 1891, in Pratt, Kansas, had served in the San Jacinto school for 15 years prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his widow, Mary, of the home address; sons, Walter G, San Diego, Elmer H, Highlands, Wilbur L, Rantoal, Illinois; brothers, Charles, Los Angeles, Harley, Manson, Washington; sister, Mrs. B.J. Jones, Lakeport, and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
