THE DEATH OF GLENN A. SKINNER
Stockwell - Glenn Arno Skinner, 68, a county highway worker, died unexpectedly Sunday morning of a heart ailment at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette. He had been hospitalized 10 days ago. He was born in Iowa, but came to this community as a young boy and had spent all of his life here. He was a member of the Stockwell Methodist church and of the Stockwell Anchor Masonic lodge. He was married to Elsie Muriel Cornell in Lafayette in 1918. Survivors are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Karl Smiley, Chicago Heights, Ill., and Mrs. Roy Conarroe and Mrs. Harold Tull, both of Stockwell; two sons, Robert Wayne, Lafayette Rt.6, and Thomas L., Lafayette Rt.7; and two brothers, Merle and Clyde, both of Stockwell. Friends may call at Dickerson funeral home Stockwell after 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Services at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Stockwell Methodist church. Rev. Joseph Newton officiating. Body will lie in state at church one hour prior to services. Interment in Johnson cemetery. Stockwell. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren.
