GOOD WOMAN CALLED HOME

Mrs. Dan Roysden's Sudden Death is Shock To Entire Community

Last Sunday evening the entire community was shocked to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Dan Roysden at her home in the east part of the city. Mrs. Roysden had been ill for some time but the family thought she was getting better when her malady took a sudden turn for the worse and before her friends could hardly realize it she had passed in the Great Beyond.
Mary Isabel Chitwood was born in Scott county, Tenn., August 27, 1868. On February 2nd 1889 she was married to Dan Roysden and removed to Montague county, Texas, where they remained for only part of a year when they came to the Chickasaw Nation south of Norman. They moved to Grady county in 1900 and lived in Chickasha for four years and then moved to Minco and have made their home here ever since.
Mrs. Burleson leaves a husband and six children to mourn her departure, Walter of Ninnekah, Mesdames Vorhies and Pinkston, Ward, Theodore and Willie all of this city. The children were all here at the time of her death. Her sisters, Mrs. Hancock of Grandfield and Mrs. Floy Thomas of Oklahoma City attended the funeral, but Mrs. Lucy Carson of Oneida, Tenn., was unable to be here. Her brothers Dawes Chitwood and his family of east of town and Jim Chitwood of this city were here when the end came.
Mrs. Roysden united with the Methodist church at the age of 18 and has shown the loyalty to her faith in her devotion to her family. She was universally loved by all who knew her.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the home and attended by a very large company of sorrowing friends and relatives. Rev. O.P. Davis conducted the funeral services. She was laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery.
