Mrs. Chitwood Dead
Mrs. Sallie Chitwood died last Thursday night at the home of her son, J.D. Chitwood, in this town, after an illness of several weeks. She was 71 years old at the time of her death. The funeral was held Friday, Rev. Maupin, of the Christian church conducting.
Mrs. Chitwood was the mother of eleven children, of whom seven survive her-six of whom live in this vicinity-Dause, J.D. and James and Mrs. Dan Roysden, Mrs. J.S. Thomas and Miss Laura Chitwood. Another daughter, Mrs. John Carson, lives at Oneida, Tenn. She also leaves a husband to mourn with them
She was a good Christian woman, who having lived her allotted time on earth, passed to her heavenly reward.
